Show f FAYETTE I Ella Bown, Correspondent o o Miss Louise Liechty of Provo is visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Bartholomew and Mr. and Mrs. Norval Mellor. Miss Eva Mellor recently returned from Springville, where she had spent the past few weeks. Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock the girls of the M. I. A. entertained their mothers at the annual mothers' and ! daughters' outing. The affair was .held on the shady lawn at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Mellor and proved one of the outstanding socials of the season. Games and a short program furnished the entertainment I and at 5 o'clock all were seated at one long tablt and enjoyed the dainty refreshments prepared and served by the girls. i William F. and Boyd Bartholomew ' returned from Salt Lake Tuesday. jThey were accompanied by Victor Bartholomew, who was returning i from the Eastern States mission af-i af-i ter laboring in that field for the jpast twenty-srx months, j Mrs. Lorena Larson of Monroe and Mrs. Carlyle Earl and small son, Billie, of St. George, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mellor. The Relief Society ladies held their work and business meeting at the home of Mrs. Mary K. Hamlin Tues- day afternoon. Dainty refreshments were served. Bud and Olene Bown of Provo, are spend'ng a few weeks here with relatives. rel-atives. Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Bartholomew entertained at an elaborate dinner i Sunday at one o'clock in honor of I Victor Barttholomew. Other guests were William F. and Boyd Bartholo-i Bartholo-i mew, Mrs. Carlyle Earl and son, Miss j Eva Mellor and Miss Louise Leichty. j Thursday evening the ward mis-I mis-I .y'onary committee entertained at a j welcome home social in honor of Vic-l Vic-l tor Bartholomew, who returned Tuesday Tues-day from the Eastern States mission. A program, games and dancing fur-j fur-j nished the diversion and at eleven i o'clock refreshments were served. The social was well attended and a delightful de-lightful time was enjoyed by all. |
