Show Spring City Bows ToGunners In Final The Gunnison Gunners closed the 1935 baseball season Sunday afternoon after-noon by trekking to .Spring City and toppling the North Sanpeters by a score of 9 to 3, in one of the best and fastest games staged by the local boys this season. By defeating Spring City the Gunners hold a record of having won four games and lost three during the last half of the schedule, sche-dule, while during the season they i won seven and lost six. Considering the fact that the locals entered the league opening with material ma-terial that needed developing in certain cer-tain spots, as the season advanced they played a higher class of baseball base-ball as was evidenced when Gunnison Gunni-son took the last three games, winning win-ning over Moroni, Fairview and Spring City. Baseball, in the opinion of the crew that represented Gunnison during the season just closed, will be on the boards next year, notwithstanding the fact that Softball is "sweeping" the country at present. There is an attraction in the good old National game that clings, the boys declare, and it is going to be hard to keep it down. In the Sunday game, Christensen pitched fine ball for the Gunners.
