Show ' i AXTELL P NEWS ITEMS I The Sea Gull girls, under the direction di-rection of Miss Nellie Jensen, had a delightful Hallowe'en party at the home of Miss Verlie WhiUock Thursday Thurs-day night of last week. Miss Fay Nielson, as the witch, captured the prize for. her unique costume and fortunes. Mrs . Newell Olson was ttie delightful de-lightful hostess at a charming Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party in honor of ithe First Intermediate class of the Axtell Sunday school Friday night. Games and music .were the diversions of the evening and at 10:30 Mrs. Olson served her guests to a delicious Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en supper. ,The Misses Elvona Sorenson and Melrie Anderson, teachers of the kindergarten department of the Axtell Ax-tell Sunday school, entertained the children at a Hallowe'en party Saturday Sat-urday afternoon at the Sorenson home. The little tots came dressed as ghosts. Hallowe'en games were played and the children were entertained enter-tained at story telling by a charming charm-ing gypsy maiden. Mr .and Mrs. Burge Frandsen and family of Clarion spent Monday vis- " iting with Postmaster . and Mrs. C. L. Despain. Election day Axtell was very quiet. A few heated arguments, but the citizens are all on speaking terms, no matter what their politics. Tom Folster, M. Jensen and Newell New-ell Morley left Tuesday for Nevada, where they expect to remain indefinitely. indefi-nitely. The program for the- M. I.
