A SNAKE STORY Recently the editor of the Publishers' Auxiliary bemoaned the fact that good fish, snake and other animal stories have become scarce. Perhaps there are no new ones, but we ran across one this week modestly credited to "Exchange," which ought to qualify for the old scrap book, whether it is new or not. A kind hearted farmer up in North Dakota found a rattlesnake caught in a trap and compassionately released the reptile and went his way.
