They motored mo-tored to the Garden City in the early morning and returned Thursday night. John Cliff, with the Seeley-Hinck-ley Auto company, agents for the Dodge car, Mt. Pleasaant, was a Gunnison Gun-nison visitor Tuesday. . Mr. and Mrs. McLaren Peterson returned Sunday after spending sev-ei sev-ei al days at Salt Lake. Mrs. Peter-. Peter-. ' son was called to the city on account of the illness of a brother. . Mrs. Moroni Jensen of SaPl Lake was the week-end guest with relatives rela-tives and friends in this city. Roy Edwards and J. W. Edwards, insuianee writers, were transacting business at Salina the first of the week. x J. T. Jones, salesman for the Central Cen-tral U. S. Swine company, came in from Salt Lake and northern points Monday afternoon of this week. Mr. Jones reports active business and stated that many farmers were adding add-ing the purebred hogs to their farms and discarding the common stock breed. ; Thursday of last week Mrs. Lavor Clements delightfully entertained for fifteen guests at a birthday anniversary anniver-sary party. A social time, interspersed inter-spersed with musical numbers, proved prov-ed the enjoyable feature. Dainty refreshments re-freshments were served at five. Mrs. James Nielson has gone to Salt Lake for a few days' visit with ' friends and relatives. , 1 Miss Irene Allmendinger was the ' little hostess to some sixteen friends at a birthday anniversary party Mon-j Mon-j day night at the Gunnison hotel. Irene received many useful gifts. J. W. Nielson came back from Salt Lake Sunday afternoon. He was at- i tending sessions of the legislature and looking after business matters. Chris Thompson, who spent two weeks at Salt Lake enjoying a well earned vacation, returned to his home in Gunnison Sunday evening. While at the city Mr. Thompson was the guest of his daughters, Mrs. Josie Nielson and Miss Louise Thompson. 1 Mrs. Parley Christiansen was called call-ed to Mt. Pleasant last week to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Terry. An epidemic of measles at , the Hub City , caught the Terry ehil- j dren and Mrs. Christiansen is aiding the stricken family. Clarence Ross, a former employe at the News office, and who recently returned from Southern California, was a brief visitor here Tuesday. Mr. Ross was enroute to the home of his parents at Joseph. |
