Show ; Edwards Families ! Form Organization i With a view to effecting an or-! or-! ganization that will result in creating I a closer relationship, the studying I and compilation of genealogy, and ! enjoying the social events that will ! follow, some eighty-five descendants ! of the Edwards family met at the ! Sterling chapel last Friday after-; after-; noon and evening and organized the j Edwards Surname association. . The ! head officers named to complete the organization were Solon Edwards of Sterling, president; Louis Edwards of Castlegate, first vice-president, ! aand J. T. Edwards of Idaho Falls, j Idaho, second vice-president. A regu-i regu-i lar secretary and treasurer will be j named later. It was planned to hold a reunion each year, at which time programs and other modes of "entertainments will be given. No definite time has been arranged yet for the, first annual an-nual meeting, but likely it will be held in July or during the midsummer midsum-mer months. Following the organization of the association the eighty-five in attend- ance enjoyed an elaborate chicken dinner served at the Sterling chapel. Following the banquet dancing was enjoyed until a late hour. Among those attending the meeting meet-ing from Gunnison were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Gribble, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Edwarads and Marenius Beauregard. |
