Show -I 1- CENTERFIELD -i H Next Sunday, July 2-1, the parents' class of the Centerfield Sunday school will give an appropriate exercise exer-cise in which the exodus to the west j of the Mormons and the history lead-j lead-j ing up to the many settlements throughout the state. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Woolsey are here from Salt Lake and are the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Soren Andersen. The visitors will remain until after the 24th. James Erierly and daughter, Miss Irene Brierly, of Salt Lake, came down from tjieir home to spend the i 24th with friends and relatives in ' Centerfield. On their return trip . they will be accompanied by Mrs. ; Brierly and son, the guest of relatives rela-tives here for some time past. Those who can afford the time are seeking the cool recesses of the j I mountains and nearby resorts during ! the extreme warm spell. The fathers and sons comprised one important I party, and in addition there has been many groups going to the hills. At the Scandinavian meeting, held in Centerfield last Sunday morning, ! it was a. success from every stand-j point. Visitors were here from both north, and south and all enjoyed the get-together session and the program-given. program-given. There are many citizens neglecting one important feature in Centerfield the weeds. In some instances the nuisances are allowed to grow in rank profusion and this fact greatly detracts from the beauties of the homes. A crusade, and a good one, would help materially in Centerfield, and it might, incidentally, save some extra cost, as the law is mighty strict on the weed question. |
