Show Dairy Club Boys Make Big Showing A highly encouraging report of the activities and success of the Mayfield l-H Calf club has just recently bce.i made by County Agent C. O. Stott. and all evidence points that the club will prove one of the most successful over started in the county. While the membership may not be as la' g as in other communities, the anibi-t'on anibi-t'on and determination of the May-i May-i field club stamps them as coming j winners. A tour of inspection was j made and all members of the club ; were present excepting one. The tour was thoroughly enjoyed and each ! member was on his "tip-toe" to make j the best showing, and it was reported report-ed that most of the members are hi one class insofar as care, feeding and breeding was concerned, and much credit is due the boys for their r.t-tentiveness r.t-tentiveness in advancing fancy dairy herds. j A minute inspection was made of I the record books and. in ail cases the method of record keeping was commended, com-mended, as they were found exact and up-to-date, and Raymond l.ar-scn, l.ar-scn, the cliiD leader, is to he praised for the maintaining of interest by tr.e club members. 'i here are six members in the May-field May-field 4-H club and the animals owned own-ed range in age from eight months to two y;ars. One of the heifers just calved ami is giving an average of thirty-five pounds of .milk each day. The younger stock, all choice, are expected to produce records as well. ; if not better. Already plans are being laid fur 1 entering the fancy stock at the San-1 San-1 pete county fair this fall and the i boys arc confident they will capture jbluc ribbons. |
