Tuft and Marshal Roscoc Tol-Jestrup Tol-Jestrup were in Matrti Monday and attended at-tended the meeting of the county re-1 preventatives relative to the formation i of a league to prevent the spread of crime in this section. They report the j meeting well attended and that, the! representatives favored a movement that would give protection to the citizens citi-zens of Sanpete county. The Ladies Missionary society of the Presbyterian cnurch held the regular re-gular monthly study meeting Tuesday afternoon at the chapel. Miss McMoni-gral McMoni-gral gave the study reading. Mrs. Ira Overfelt and .Mrs. C. M. Peterson served ser-ved dainty refreshments following the study hour. Lcnno Roscnvall. the garage man, is taking special treatment at Salt Lake this week for an injured eye. Mr. Rosenvall received injuries recently recent-ly to one of his eyes and failing to respond re-spond to treatment he is consulting a specialist. Dora Coates entertained for twenty little friends last Saturday afternoon, the occasion being her 11th anniversary. anniver-sary. After playing games and having a good time romping, refreshments were served by Mrs. Coates. Tuesday evening the Misses Edna Keilson and Gladys Larson delightfully delight-fully entertained the members of the Bee Hive club at the Kozi Place. Dancing Danc-ing and a dainty luncheon .were the evening's diversions. Miss Leona Edwards, proprietor of the Smartshop, is in Salt Lake this week. Miss Edwards is on a buying trip and will purchase her spring and summer stock of millinery for her store. Mr. and Mrs. Lester T. Ross and the Ross children, of Nephi, are the quests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Buchanan Buch-anan at the Gunnison hotel. Mr. Ross is a brother to Mrs. Buchanan. Mrs. Ronald C. Norman, who has been visiting with her sister, Mrs. W. B. McCormick at Salt Lake for the past ten days, returned to her home in this city Tuesday evening. |
