Show Young Matron Is Called to Reward I The ih-;,!)) of Matilda Ilendrickson at the Sahna hospital last Thursday has cast a gloom over the entire Gun-ni'-oii Valley. Un. Ilendrickson had been a sufferer for the past four months as a result of an attack of aecute intestinal nephritis and the middle of January she was taken to the hospital for treatment, but the efforts of the hi st medical treatment was in vain and the young woman j 1. id from In r dreadful suffering. lmprev ive funeral MTvioes were in Id from the Centerfded meeting house l.e-t, Monday at 1 o'clock. The iiee'ing house was filled to capacity wth sorrowing friends and relatives who had gathered to pay the last sad respects ti the one who had passed to the Great beyond. Services were under the .supervision of P.ishop Soreni Anderson and the song services were conducted by P. M. Sorenson. "Softly; Beams the Sacred Dawning" was the opening song. Invocation wns offered by I'righam Jensen nnd following: "Thiough Deepening Trails" was sung by the choir. EIRay Chrisiansen of( Gunnison, feelingly rendered "O, My Father," as a cello solo. He was accompanied ac-companied by Miss Ida Johnson as pianist. C. P Larson, Chas. H. Embly, Chas. Hansen and Bishop Soren Anderson, were the speakers at the funeral. All . paid a loving and kind tribute to the' departed. Her life, full of happiness and with a pleasing and lovable disposition dis-position was eulogized. Mrs. Ilendrickson Ilen-drickson was an ardent worker in her church and was an accomplished musician. mu-sician. Her life was portrayed as beautiful and pure by the speakers. "Jesus Lover of My Soul" was sung as a duct by Mr. and Mrs. Clement Cle-ment Swalherg. The anthem, "We Know Not What Awaits Us," was sung by the choir as the closing song. Benediction was offered by Hans C. Jensen and C. H.' Christiansen offered offer-ed the dedicatory prayer at the Cen-terfield Cen-terfield cemetery where the remains of Mrs. Ilendrickson were tenderly laid to their final resting place. I Matilda Fjeldstcd Henderson was born in Centerfield March 2, 1901, and had she lived until the coming month she would have been 22 years of age. Besides her huisband, Arnold Hen-drickson, Hen-drickson, she is survived by her father fa-ther and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Fjeldstcd, six hrothcrs, Winfred, Alfred, Al-fred, Richard, Sidney, Alvin nnd Gilbert, Gil-bert, and an invalid sister, Mrs. James C. Nielson and their families, all residing re-siding itnhe valley. |
