Show DOINGS AT AXTELL AND VICINITY (Special Correspondence. ) Last Saturday evening the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hans C. Olson .was the scene of one of the most enjoyable social events held in Axtell for many months, when they entertained a host of their friends at their China wedding anniversary. Many relatives and immediate friends from Axtell, Gunnison and Ephraim were present at the event. The home ;had been beautifully and appropriataely deco lated and bouquets of crrnationr, and pink roses adorned the tables. The feature of the celebration of the anniversary an-niversary of the marriage of- Mr. and Mrs. Olson was the "bamf't served the guests. Long tableyH'l been arranged ar-ranged and were laeleif 'th reuiFl. turkey, roast lamb and a.-.tle "goodies" "good-ies" that went to make a feast for the "gods." Dinner was served' at 6 o'clock and from the tijne tlu merrymakers mer-rymakers sal down untit'all had been made happy there" wa real happiness happi-ness and enjoyment, "gtory telling" and a splendid program followed the big banquet. Mrs. Caroline Jensen has returned from a brief visit to Salt Lake, whither she had been called on account ac-count of the serious illness of her brother, Joseph Christensen. Niels Jensen, who was operated on for appendicitis at the Salina hospital hos-pital recently, is reported to be progressing pro-gressing nicely. Again Axtell is to the front as the "best place to raise turkeys." Almost ivery family in the vicinity boasts of a big floe:k and hundreds have already al-ready been shipped to the markets , vhie-h went to supply the Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing market. The past season has been itK'al for the turkeys dry. 'arm weather and plenty of grasshoppers grass-hoppers and weevil to feed on, and he birds were in fine shape. Mr. and Mrs. James Monson of Mt. Pleasant visited with their daughter, Mrs. Harold Sorenson. of this place 'ast Saturday.
