Show Movemeht Started for Better County Roads Sanpete and' Sevier Counties Will Join Forces and ' Ask State Aid In Paving State Highway. With a view to making an inspection inspec-tion of the paving that has just recently re-cently been completed in Richfield, a number of prominent business men from the northern part of ;the county, coun-ty, and other sections as well. After a visit about! the city and when a thorough " inspection in-spection of the paving had been made the visitors were accorded a, banquet at the Commercial club' of Richfield, j During the banquet' the, matter of "going after" better, roads with paving pav-ing from the north line of' Sanpete county to the south -line of Sevier county, invoking the aid of the state in assisting in this . project, was broached by some of the leading business men and taxpayers of both counties. When the question had been put before the asseniblage it was warmly greeted and? before adjournment ad-journment steps were taken to start immediate action in attaining the paved roads. To the, end that the residents of the two counties were alive to progression pro-gression special representatives were appointed to be present at the meeting meet-ing of the commercial clubs, mayors ami other officials who had been asked ask-ed to meet with the State Road commission com-mission which was held in Salt Lake City this week. Other live sections throughout the state are making every endeavor to get in on the paving and it is up to the citizens and taxpayers of the southern section to do likewise. Cooperation Co-operation of forces from all parts of Sanpete county, from one end to the other, be organized as one and let every interest be brought to bear that paved roads are wanted and are needed and it will only be a matter of a short time until the south section sec-tion and the north will be linked with good roads. |
