And, it is good to be able to see the cattle from the Care Center windows. win-dows. My Garfield County News column will be written from what we here call our Cheerful Care Center Community since it is now my home. Please bring any news to me at the Care Center. Tim and Fayann Christensen and Troy and Janee Neilson and Grandma Faye Worthen spent Dec. 24 at the Care Center with Billy Christensen. Faye then went to Kanab to spend Christmas with the family. The Panguitch LDS 1st and 4th Wards and 2nd and 3rd Wards combined to perform Christmas musical programs in Sacrament meeting. The chapels in both buildings were packed. President Max and Loa Sevy. are back home after visiting their family in the mid-west. President John Yardley was the speaker in the Care Center meeting. meet-ing. Sara Littlefield's family came from Farmington to take her to Bryce Valley for visits with friends and to celebrate their time together. Betty Brown and Rena Cole went to California to see Rena's daughter, Jaynel, who had surgery. sur-gery. Then Betty went to Albuquerque, N.M. to see Grace McAllister. Grace said to tell all of Panguitch hello and sent her love. Betty also visited with Karl and Joann McAllister. Many folks have been home for Christmas bringing gifts, goodies and most especially, love. Alan Talbot came with a TV for mom, Mamie Talbot. Barbara Talbot is busy moving her mom's belongings to the Care Center. Little cottontail rabbits are being fed hay at the Tom Simkinses and many hungry cats are being fed in this of time of cold and want. Minnie Neilson of Tropic, who is fairly new at the Care Center, said she left lots of needy wild animals when she left her home. Her niece took Minnie to Tropic on Christmas Day for dinner and to visit friends. Cindy Josie went to Salt Lake City for a family party and to see her parents, Bennett and Alfhild Josie, at the LDS Missionary Training Center. Her dad says he can order groceries gro-ceries in Russian already. They will go to Russia about the middle mid-dle of January. MacRay and Jean Julander had all of their family at home for Christmas. Savalla Sanford celebrated ; her 98th birthday at the Care Center. Ann Farnsworth had all her family home for her birthday on Christmas Eve. Terry Gleave, son of LaDean and Helen Gleave, was married to Kirsten Morrison at the Care Center on Dec. 8. Lynn and Sonia Allen spent Christmas in St. George with their daughters. Appreciation goes to all shoppers who supported the Panguitch Shop at Home campaign. cam-paign. More power to those who won prizes, especially more than once. Frank Orton has his family here for the holidays, except for Elder Bob and Joy Orton who are in Russia. Barry and Arlene Davenport just got back from a trip to Graceland in Memphis, Tenn. Richard and Marilyn Talbot and family of Orem stopped to see mom, Mamie Talbot and sister, sis-ter, Barbara Talbot on their way to California to visit Marilyn's family. |
