Show GAMWriVILLC tJGVJS. By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Ed Dunham said he got the best Christmas present ever. All of his kids and grandkids were here to help him celebrate. Willie, Ginny, and Bubba; Curtis and Susanna; Hyrum and Mary and family and Krista and family. They had a big Christmas dinner and plenty of food and fun. Jim and Erma Clarke are home from their two-year mission mis-sion to Louisiana and Erma said it was wonderful but they are happy to be home. They spent Christmas in Layton with their children, Joan, Debra and Patrick and their families, then headed south to Cedar City for a Christmas dinner with Kevin and Cheryl Garrett and their family. A mission is a wonderful wonder-ful experience, and the "Grand Finale" is coming home to the kids and grandkids and giving your report. It's really special. They gave their report Dec. 30. Alma and Anita Fletcher went to St. George and spent the day with daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Curtis Hansen and family and with parents, Clement and Marie Broderick. Daughter Erica Racker and sons, David and Michael, returned with them and will spend the rest of the holidays here. John and Ramona Morreale had their daughters, Christina and Tamra home for a holiday visit. Friday evening Desmond and Gretha Twitchell, Bob and Mira Loy Ott, Gloria Clark and Mary Lou Nielson attended the LDS temple where Lonnie and Cheryl Pollock's daughter,-Sarnie daughter,-Sarnie and Klancy Ott, son of Kowan and Melanie Ott and grandson of Bob and Mira Loy Ott and Gloria Clark received their endowments. The Pollocks were also there. Then on Saturday, the Twitchells were joined by Monte and Rita Twitchell and son Britt and Cole Twitchell; Marty and Ethel Rich, Shantel Manning, Jon and Brandi Webster, Brandon and Holly Baugh, Rusty Rich, Lonnie and Cheryl Pollock and Mary Lou Nielson. They went through an endowment session and Shantel, Rusty and Cole all received their endowments. Karl and Lori Munford and family visited Vaughn and Mae Twitchell on Christmas day. Cherlyn Twitchell also came. A beautiful Christmas program pro-gram was presented in Cannonville LDS Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday entitled "The Innkeeper's Story," with Trish Thompson as narrator; Eric Jessen as the Inkeeper; a solo by Mel Beard, entitled "Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel," the congregation singing "O Little Town of Bethlehem," "Silent Night," "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Away In The Manger." A duet, "Lullabye Little One," was sung by Ralena Gary and Alexandra Turner and "We Three Kings" was performed per-formed by a trio of Larry, Richard and Mathew Fletcher. Gil Manning's name was presented pre-sented to be sustained to for advancement to the office of an Elder. Monday evening the Cannonville LDS Primary children chil-dren had their special program with video scenes projected on the screen of the children acting out the Nativity scene of Mary riding the donkey with Joseph leading it. The .children portrayed por-trayed the characters an it was wonderful! Bob and Mira Loy Ott stayed overnight with the Stacy Ott family in Washington after attending the temple session of Friday night. Marva Fletcher received, a phone call from her sister, Laurie Coon and she said she and Theron were just ready to leave St. George, where she has been having therapy sessions following knee surgery. They will go to Georgia and continue their mission for three months, then go back to Nauvoo for the summer and come home next fall. Coming to visit Pamela Gajordo at the Larry Fletcher home were her grandmother, Maria Mella, grandfather. Louis Gutairre, her father, Hernan Gajordo and a friend from Chile, Teodaro. Delon, Diane and Gail Fletcher came from Provo to spend Christmas and the holidays with their parents, Larry and Glenna Fletcher. Mel and Phyllis Beard had sons, Jay Jacks, Aaron and Todd Beard spend the holidays. Todd will stay here for awhile. I wish everyone a very Happy & Prosperous New Year and may we all have peace in our hearts and homes and may it spread to all nations and grow like an epidemic of love and harmony. |
