Show By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Recent visitors at Max and Logann Eagar's to help celebrate cele-brate Logann's birthday were Liz Jacobs of Eagle Mountain and John and Bobbie Long of Provo. Liz very recently returned from Poland after serving serv-ing an LDS mission. They all attended church here. I had a card and letter from Izabela Meronka, who was employed at Rubys Inn this past summer. She is from Poland and send good wishes to her friends here. President Myron Cottam and President Klin Chynoweth were visitors here on Sunday at Henrieville's LDS meeting. We were saddened to hear of theh death of Tony Reynolds, former resident of Escalante and relative and friend to many local folks. We send our love and sympathy to the family. Cal and Martha Schow were speakers at the combined LDS Relief Society and Priesthood on Sunday. They related their experiences of dealing with their trials. They have lost five of their seven children. They later ate lunch with Ernie and Wynona Henderson. . Dorsi Huffaker and daughters Shelly and Lauren have returned to Littleton, Colo., after a two-week two-week visit with Ernie and Wynona Henderson. Ernie, Wynona, Dorsie and girls went to Riverton to visit Trish and Brian Dixon and family fam-ily and for Ernie's appointment at the VA hospital. The girls spent one night shopping and eating out. We congratulate Yolanda and Brad Cowan on the recent birth of their son Cameron Tolby. He weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and is a grandson of Kathryn and David Pollock. Speakers in LDS Sacrament meeting were Krista and Tarynn Piatt and Matt Wetzel. The Ken Piatt family sang a special musi cal number, "I Wonder When He Comes Again." Rhoda Shafer went to West Valley City and spent the holidays holi-days with Donna and Duane Metcalf. Ernie and Wynona Henderson Hender-son and daughter Dorsie had a special phone call for Christmas from Dorsie's son Jake Marx, who is in Seoul, Korea teaching English. Cyle Johnson was here for a few days from Payson visiting his parents, Jeff and Kim Johnson. Keela and Pete Mangum hosted a family breakfast on Christmas. Iris Bushnell joined the group. Terry Naylor of Cedar City was here with daughter Heather, her husband Clayton and Jeff and Kim Johnson. Lori and Nathan Piatt enjoyed enjoy-ed a visit from Lori's brother James Dodd of Orem. We congratulate Kytlin Chynoweth on his high scoring game against Piute. Jarom Johnson, son of Heather and Carlon Johnson, had his tonsils removed on Thursday. We hope he will have fewer ear problems now. The Senior Citizens lunches will resume again on Jan. 8. Visiting with Artoise and Ken Piatt, Delpha Rose, and Cliff and Collette Mathews were Millie Chidester and daughter Kasey of Richfield, Collin and Laurie Rose of Annabella and Kerry and Jennifer Rose of Sandy. There have been quite a few folks down with bad colds and coughs. Hope they are better soon. Happy New Year to you all! |
