Show cawmjvillg anus By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Don Mangum has returned home after visiting his daughter, Judy Anderson in Idaho. David Mathews came from St. George and visited his mother, Louise Mangum on Sunday. Kerry Johnson and his wife, three sons and a daughter, all of Roy, came for a visit with grandparents, grand-parents, Golden and Roxanna Johnson. Lace Walker had surgery on her leg and ankle as she wasn't healing from an injury she had during the winter. She is recovering recov-ering at home and doing quite well. Glehna Fletcher attended a sisters and daughters party in St. George. Present were Marie Broderick and daughters, Glenna ' Fletcher, Janeen Anderson and Joyce Johnson. Also Lenna Wilcock from Kooskie, Ida. and daughters, Gloria Taylor, Carol Seegmiller, and Becky Roundy; Bernice Broderick from Hurricane and Norma Gubler, Amelda Wilcox and Patty Tippets of St. George. They had a nice time. Arthur Clarke and his son, Nathan of Las Vegas, Nev. came last weekend to finish some plumbing repairs for his parents, Jim and Erma Clarke. The Clarkes went to Salt Lake City on Tuesday for medical appointments appoint-ments and Erma said everything seems to be fine. In Cannonville LDS Sacrament Sunday Jory Twitchell was sustained by the ward membership to be advanced to the office of a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. Andrea McCormick went to Salt Lake City one day last week to attend the wedding of a niece. Tropic, Cannonville and Henrieville LDS Ward Relief Society sister met conjointly in Tropic for a meeting with special spe-cial speakers who addressed current problems and needs. Mary Miller-Boyd introduced her husband, Carl, who spoke briefly and introduced Gary Holbrook of Panguitch, who talked on domestic violence. The last presentation was on health and nutrition and was given by Deanna Brown. Local news seems to be scarce this week. Guess everyone every-one is busy planting gardens. But I hope next week will be more productive news wise with reports of mothers who came for special Mother's Day celebrations. |
