Shawn and Crystal Mortensen and children spent the President's Day holiday in Phoenix, Ariz. Cami Mangum spent some time in Cedar City with her parents Walt and Coleen Engle. Lillis Francisco and daughter Deann Francisco got sister Anita Iverson from St. George went to Arizona to visit another sister, Pat Dotson. Lillis' s son Marlin was left home this time to take care of things. A great visit was enjoyed by all. Lance Syrett and family were the speakers in LDS Sacrament Meeting Sunday prior to his entering enter-ing the MTC on Mar. 5. Kenneth and Ida Alvey and Larry and Carol Cloward from West Valley City; Afton Branch from Bountiful Lynn and Sonia Allen and family from Panguitch were part of the 500 who were in attendance. Clay Stewart is home from a successful LDS mission. Janet Pollock along with daughter daugh-ter Jackie Kincaid, from Hen-rieville, Hen-rieville, went to Duchesne to see daughter and grandson Jennifer and Wyatt Kincaid over President's day weekend. They had a wonderful time together and got to see a lot of beautiful scenery. Dixie Shakespear accompanied grandson Scott Shakespear, along with Scott's parents Danny and Vicki Shakespear, to the St. George LDS Temple on Saturday. They stayed over and attended his testi monial on Sunday in New Harmony. Har-mony. June and Obie Shakespear had daughter Nelda Brannon and children here for a few days. Obie had cataract cata-ract surgery. There is a cold wind blowing and it makes one discouraged but remember it is to keep the buds on the trees and keep flowers from springing up to soon. With all the beautiful snow storms that we received re-ceived this year, hopefully mother nature will be in control and keep everything in the right time and season. Earl and Rachel Jolley were in St. George for doctor appointments. Rachel said they just gave them one more pill to take. Wallace Ott was out at "rock springs" one day: that tells us that he is feeling better, he is mighty happy to be out and about again. Eliza Porter is visiting sister Mary Ott. They went to Panguitch to visit sister Elsie Goulding in the extended care center. Wanda Shakespear came through her surgery and has been brought back to Panguitch to recuperate. Merle Richards is home from the hospital and she really looks good. Stephen and Amber Simons spent the President's Day holiday at the Raymond and Ronnie Brinker- hoffs. Dean and Erma Wintch, along with LeRoy and Paula Hughes, traveled to Palm Springs to visit Garth and Barbara Stiener. Stanley Ott and Bob and Mira Loy Ott, along with Joe and Rae Hughes, attended funeral services in Escalante for Jed Smith. |
