Spelling Bee Held In Tropic TROPIC Taking first place at the annual Garfield County School District Speeling Bee on Feb. 14 at Bryce Valley Auditorium was Brady Shakespear, of Bryce Valley Elementary. Brady won the meet in twenty eight rounds by spelling the word intuitive correctly. He will compete at the Utah State Spelling Bee on Mar. 28 in Salt Lake City. Second place went to Lacey Lyman, Boulder Elementary, and third place to Matt Black, Panguitch Pan-guitch Elementary. Fourth place was won by Amber Donus, Escalante Esca-lante Elementary; with a tie for fifth place between Rosa Lee Thompson, Bryce Valley and Mike Black, Panguitch. Also participating from Escalante Esca-lante were Scott Beebe, Devin Shakespear, and Lucas Schulkoski. Others representing Panguitch were Joyce Lee and Valerie.
