Show Antimony News By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Riley Roberts received his LDS mission call to Zimbabwe, Africa. He will be leaving in June. Gayle Ipson was here during her break from teaching for the holiday with her dad, Neil Ipson. Marcus Gleave was rushed by ambulance to the Garfield Memorial Hospital Saturday night but came home on Sunday. He had a slight stroke. Bart and Sunni Kae Brown and family were here on the weekend visiting with her dad, Kenneth King and brother, Casey and Camille King and family. Burns and Mona Black brought Gregg Black's daughter home with them from St. George to visit. The Gregg Blacks were here from Orem for the weekend. In LDS Sacrament meeting Sunday, Kyle Willis was advanced in the Priesthood from a Deacon to a Teacher. Among those attending the funeral in Escalante for Jed Smith were Van and Betty Wiley, Tom Wiley, Kenneth King, Rega Gleave and Verlene Gleave. Jed Smith's and Verlene Gleave' s mothers were sisters. Marcia Brindley and Toby Tobiasson are being married on March 1 at the Rockin' R. Toby is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he has been with the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a Civil Engineer. They will make their home here in Antimony. Burns and Mona Black will be gone for two weeks to visit with his sister, Sauna Jane and Tom Bird in Hawaii. They will be flying out the last week in February and will be back in March. Hopefully spring will be here when they return. Van and Betty Wiley attended the dedication of the Sevier Valley Tech's new building in Richfield. Van was on the board of directors during the planning for the start of the new growth of the tech. The building is such an improvement over what the school had and much more is planned. Everyone should go see what is offered at the tech and the young and old should be taking advantage of the education available. |
