Show By Louise OU 679-8776 :i Bob Syrett called and reported that he and wife Beverly were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Their adopted daughter Maggie Jean was sealed to them also. Jean Syrett and many extended family members were in attendance for the special occasion. Bob also told about their trip to Germany. Kay and Maggie Willis went with them. They saw Vienna, Austria,: and many other beautiful places. Then, they said that it turned too cold to continue on with the other places they had intended on going. They were gone 1 1 days. . On May 3, there were two batty girls blessed in LDS Sacrament meeting. Taylor Rayne Stevens, daughter of Mike and Kami blessed by her father. She is the granddaughter of Rod and Kathern Syrett and great-granddaughter :of Gene and Mary Etta Chynoweth and Jean Syrett of Tropic. There were also two great-grandfathers at the blessing who assisted. Natalie Lyn Pollock, daughter of Gayle Lyn and Marie Pollock was blessed by her father. While Louise Ott was in St. Louis, Mo., she attended a basketball basket-ball game in the junior basketball league. At the last game, her grandson Adam Ott received a gold medal from his coach as their team had won all of their games. It was fun to be there for that. Then, Louise's son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Julie Ott, received word that they will be stationed in Okinawa, Oki-nawa, Japan for three years. It is pay back time for Richard after his schooling through the Navy. They are looking forward to the new ex-(See ex-(See TROPIC On Page 8-A) ; ' " Tropic News From Page 2-A periences and they are teaching their three children to speak the language now. While Louise was visiting there, Richard and Julie attended a "Black Tie" dinner where Richard received "Resident of the Year" award, along with a standing ovation ova-tion from his peers. All of this took place during, before and after Louise's surgery, so there were good times and a lot of memories that were enjoyed while she was away. Two days before she flew back to Salt Lake City, there was a tornado in St. Louis. It was quite an experience and a lot of nearby damage. On April 15, she flew back to Salt Lake City. Rita Hey-wood Hey-wood met her at the airport and Louise stayed with them until daughter Marilyn Holley took her to her place for a week. Then back to daughter Clara's for a week so she had quality time with all and thoroughly enjoyed the grandchildren. grandchil-dren. Franz Shakespear spent a few days in the hospital in Panguitch. He is home now and feeling better. Barbara Zurich said that her mother Margie Bee had a mishap, twisted hurting herself, is doing as well as can be expected. We wish you the best, Margie. Doug, Vicki and son Courtney Ahlstrom were in Florida. Vicki had some school meetings so Doug and Courtney went along to keep her company. Doug and son Mike were in Texas recently on business. Visiting with Steve and Merna Winters are Cletis and Sharon Rogers, Ro-gers, from Grand Coolee Dam, Wash. They have been visiting other friends in the area also. Merna and daughter Erin Thomas Tho-mas flew to Oakland, Calif., enjoyed en-joyed seeing the bay area and other places of interest, then drove home. They had a good time together. Eva Dean and Sandrea Fransico were in Cedar City for eye doctor appointments. Charlie went to the auction, and brother Kent Webster from Salt Lake City is visiting for a few days. Kayc6 and Tyson Brinkerhoff are home for a few days. It is cattle branding time again so Tyson came over to help. Larvin and Eva Pollock spent the weekend in Delta with son Bill and Stacey Pollock. They attended the LDS Seminary graduation of granddaughter Cecy Pollock. She graduates from high school also. They plan on staying long enough to talk to grandson Bill on his mission mis-sion in Winnipeg Canada. He reports re-ports that he is working with the youth and loving it. Eva said that she was in Oklahoma for two weeks with Pauline and Brent Allen when they got number five child, a girl, to add to their three girls and two boys. Louise Ott visited with Nina McQuarrie while in Ogden staying with daughter Marilyn Holley and family. Glenna Pollock took Minnie Nielson to Cedar City to see her eye doctor. Minnie and Louise Ott spent Friday in Panguitch visiting with Edna Clarke and attending her yard sale. Received a call from Ida Kennedy Ken-nedy who is working in Alaska. It was great to visit with her again and know that she is still able to see a lot of the country through her travels. She said to tell all "hello".
