Both the children's parade and the adult parade were great The people of Escalante have so much talent and always present a delightful program. The Escalante library has so much to offer to the public. The craft display was excellent The day ended with a rodeo and a display of fireworks. On July 23 at LDS sacrament meeting, Jim Clarke, patriarch of the Escalante Stake, gave a talk. His wife Erma Clarke came with him. They live in Cannon ville. Val Jean Haws came with a group of boy scouts from St. George to camp at Haws Pasture over the weekend. The descendents of William and Amanda Peterson camped on Rulon Peterson's land at Peterson Pasture on Boulder Mountain. Renon Peterson and her sister Elaine Bailey, Salt Lake City toured Bryce Canyon National Park with mends. Tammera Artz, Leslie Artz and Missy Artz, the granddaughters of e an Lymans, came from Salt Lake City to spend a week with them They are the daughters of Mr and Mrs. Ned Artz.
