Show 1 pBS This 1988 Chrysler was totaled when a small Toyota S. sideswiped it on Highway 89 near Todd's Junction. The Toy- Four travelers miraculously escaped es-caped death or serious injury in near head-on accident Monday at 5 p.m. several miles south of Highway 14 9 on U.S. 89. A 1988 Chrysler traveling north and driven by Andrew Wustyaic, 64, with his wife Malvina, 55, was struck on left front of their vehicle by a 1988 Toyota driven by Richard White, Syracuse, N.Y., with his passenger and owner ot the ota strayed over the center line when the driver dozed. None of the passengers was injured. I Four Escape Injury In Collision car Stephanie Giordano, Huntington Hunting-ton Beach, Calif. Neither the Wustyaics of Phoenix, Ariz., or the Toyota occupants received more than very minor bruises. Both cars, however, were to taled. Although neither car rolled, the force of the crash sprang doors and frames on the off-collision side. The accident slowed traffic for two hours. The incident was investigated inves-tigated by Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Sgt. Paul LeCours, Kanab station; Kane County Sheriff Maxwell Jackson and Utah Highway High-way Patrol Trooper Gaylen Moore, Panguitch. LeCours said White dozed for a second and crossed the mid stripe. He cited White for failure to maintain main-tain control of his vehicle. |
