Show Cannonville Laurie Holley was a patient in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she underwent surgery on her knee. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Willis and children from Capitol Reef were here last week visiting Quinn's mother, Bonnie Willis. Margaret Davis from Cedar City spent several days here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norm LeFevre and returned to Cedar City Monday. Marie Chynoweth, Richfield, was also here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson. Many people attended LDS stake conference in Escalante Sunday morning and Sunday evening. A number of people attended the Bryce Valley Seminary graduation at the Tropic LDS Ward chapel. Seminary graduates from Cannonville were Patrick Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Clarke; Mike Fletcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Fletcher; Jeff Shakespeare, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shakespear; Fran Dunham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Dunham; and Janet Moss, daughter of La Vera Moss. These young men and women will also be graduating from high school May 19. Teresa Thompson and Pat Lutes are home from Southern Utah State College for the weekend visiting their families. Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson traveled to Las Vegas to visit their daughters, Rachel Peeples and Ann Reece. Richard Leavitt traveled to St. George to watch his son, Cody Leavitt, complete his hunter's safety course and receive his certificate. certifi-cate. Mr. and Mrs. Wally Lee of Provo, spent Sunday with Kelly's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Leavitt. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Clarke had several of their children visit them over the weekend. |
