Show By Betty Wiley 624-3215 The LDS Relief Society presented pre-sented the Sacrament meeting on Sunday with Marge Robinson, Athalia Jensen, Koami Delange, Ilene Roberts, and Carol Blood as speakers with Connie King, Julie Allen and Heather Quist furnishing a musical number. The scout recognition banquet was held on Tuesday evening at the cultural under the direction of Shannon Allen and Tim Westwood. Receiving awards were Trail Kre-itzer, Kre-itzer, Riley Roberts, Dustin Brind-ley, Brind-ley, Chace Brindley, KC Poll, Jeremy Poll, Preston Gleave, Mike Hansen and Garrett Hansen. The delicious dinner was planned by Camille King. Scout leaders who received gifts in recognition of their service in the scouting program were Shannon Allen, Calvin Poll and Lavere Gleave. Rob Quist, Assistant Park Ranger at Otter Creek State Park has been at the McKay Dee Hospital Hospi-tal in Ogden with his Dad who had heart surgery. He is doing well and Rob is in Salt Lake now taking Post Academy training. Riley Roberts and Jeremy Wiley, Wi-ley, who are on the 7th and 8th grade all-star basketball team, played play-ed the Bryce Valley team at Piute last Wednesday. Bishop Layne Blood and Tom Wiley attended a search and rescue meeting on Saturday for pistol qualification. qual-ification. Vaughnetta Roberts is visiting the Garth Roberts for a few days. She has been spending the winter in St. George. Heather Quist has been tending the two children of her sister, Des-ley Des-ley Hancock, St. George, while she went to Los Angeles. Ilene Blood had surgery at the Sevier Valley hospital on Tuesday and Betty Wiley is home from the Utah Valley Hospital where she also had surgery. j Justin Pearson has been to St. George participating in the high school rodeo. He is the son of Greg and Taunya Pearson of Angle. Tod Gardner and Justin Pearson will be going to high schools that put special emphasis on rodeo programs. pro-grams. Gardner will attend one in Tremonton and Pearson will be going go-ing to one in Vernal. |
