Show Melda Davis Will Celebrate 80 Years With Open House HENRIEVILLE Family members and friends will help Melda Davis of Henrieville celebrate cele-brate her 80th birthday with entertainment enter-tainment and refreshments at an open house on Sunday afternoon, March 8 from 4 to 7 at the Can-nonville Can-nonville LDS ward cultural hall. She was born March 7, 1912 at Henrieville to Oscar and Almeda Littlefield. She married Sherman Davis April 29, 1931 at the Manti LDS Temple with seven children born to them. He died in 1976. Melda has been an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church, serving in all of the women's auxiliaries and serving a mission for the church to Louisville, Ky. She has been a devoted homemaker who loves quilting and crocheting. Her extensive exten-sive collection of bells and spoons will be on display at the open house. Her children are Lamond Davis, Cedar City; Sherrell Davis, Rex-burg, Rex-burg, Ida.; Mrs. Reed (Mary) Le-Fevre, Le-Fevre, Tropic; Mrs. Cal (Carol) Burrows, Hatch; Sherron Jensen, l v ! . :V I i i i ! I f ( Melda Davis Springville; and Mrs. Les (Shirley) Barker, Henrieville. A son, Larry Davis, is deceased. She has 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. The family has requested no gifts, please. |
