Show Summer Games Winners Bring Home Medals Twelve-year-old Shelly Shake-spear Shake-spear of Tropic and 14-year-old Shannon Muir of Bryce set new records in their track and field events at the Utah Summer Games June 25 in Cedar City. Shelly's gold medal was taken for her discus throw of 78 feet 8 inches, 14 feet farther than the old record. She also captured a silver medal in the javelin. She is the daughter of Franz and Margaret Shakespear. The Shakespear's 10-year-old son John took a silver medal in shotput. Margaret Shakespear Shake-spear won silver medals in shotput and discus. Shannon's gold came from a high jump of 5 feet 6 inches. Shannon is the son of Dean and Karleen Mclnelly. Eight-year-old Kyle Willis received re-ceived a bronze medal in the 1500-meter 1500-meter racewalk and his sister Kami, 11. a bronze in the 3000-meter run. Their parents also received medals: Kaymar Willis (a gold medal in javelin, and silvers in discus and .3000-meter racewalk) and Mary .Willis (bronze in shotput).
