Show By Ella Adair Several Tropic residents attended at-tended the program presented by the Utah Opera Company at Ko-dachrome Ko-dachrome State Park. It was a thrill to hear the beautiful music presented in the spectacular setting of red rock. We are fortunate to have such opportunities brought to our area for us to enjoy. We were saddened as a community commun-ity to hear of the death of Kay Shakespear, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alston Shakespear. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Mecham are vacationing in Nauvoo, 111. visiting vis-iting the area in which he spent his LDS mission. Many descenderrts of William Waldo Littlefield came to Tropic, Saturday for a family reunion. Christine Littlefield, Panguitch and Suzanne Ewing, of Las Cruces, New Mex., visited with Violet Littlefield and attended the reunion. Leola Ott visited with friends and relatives. Ella Adair has another new great-grandson, the third greatgrandchild great-grandchild in two weeks. The proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Greg Miles. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Miles (Bonnie) of Midvale, and Dr. and Mrs. David Brown of Cedar City are the grandparents. He has two brothers to welcome him into the family. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth LeFevre visited Amplus LeFevre and Ora Brinkerhoff. Minnie Nielsen enjoyed a surprise sur-prise visit from her sister Ellen Hall, Ogden. Amplus LeFevre had all of her children home for the wedding of Melinda and Rob Dotson. Garn L. Pollock visited with the Adrian Pollocks. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Shakespear, Shake-spear, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Shakespear, Shake-spear, and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Shakespear were home for their sister's wedding and reception. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Littlefield, Steve Littlefield and their sister Janell Littlefield, visited their parents, the Malen Littlefields for a few days this week. Tammy Witt, Mazel Littlefield, Little-field, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Littlefield and Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Littlefield, Little-field, spent Uic weekend with the Norman Littlefields and helped their parents host the family reunion. re-union. Ora Brinkerhoff had all of her children home for the weekend. Carla Day spent the weekend with her sister Gloria Chynoweth and mother Ann Griffin. Speakers in LDS Sacrament meeting on Sunday were Tracy Feltner, Michael Ahlstrom and Scott Barton. Orin and Frances Jenkins, Sandy, visited with cousins Rella Alvey and Janet Pollock. April LeFevre attended a clogging clog-ging seminar for two days in Provo. The Joseph and Mabel Ott family fam-ily reunion was held Saturday, June 29 at Yellow Creek. Birch and Kelly Moore are visiting vis-iting with the Matland Baughs. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch visited vis-ited with daughter Charlene and children in Provo. Kent helped get the yards cleaned up for her while there. Mr. and Mrs. Jared Barton and Laraine Marshall visited with the Berdell Bartons, Sunday. Tyler Feltner was ordained a deacon in the LDS church Sunday. Many out-of-town friends and relatives attended the wedding in the St. George LDS Temple and reception re-ception in Tropic for Melinda and Rob Dotson. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Ott attended the Manti . LDS Temple for the sealing of their daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jody Edwards. LaFaun Pollock spent two days in Cedar City with her daughter Marie. Jerry Moon is enjoying a visit with her daughter and four children child-ren at her home here in Tropic. Mary Lee Ramsay and granddaughter grand-daughter Trieste Ramsay are with her daughter Brenda Shakespear in Phoenix, Ariz. The Bryce Valley Class of 1966 is holding its 25th class reunion July 5. Dinner reservations are be ing made with Keela Mangum. Joe Ott visited with friends and relatives in Tropic for a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Ott and Minnie Nielsen were in Cedar City. The Otts were on business and Minnie visited her sister , Mable Norton in the nursing home. Karen Durfee spent a week with her parents the Alston Shake-spears. |
