Show Well-known photographer David Halpern autographs posters of his photograph "Thor's BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL NA-TIONAL PARK Photographer David Halpern gave a special slide show of his work Wednesday, June 26, at the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center. After the presentation he autographed posters of his photograph photo-graph "Thor's Hammer" in the lobby. Halpern has been in the park for the last two weeks taking pictures as part of the Volunteers in Parks program. Halpern has worked in many national parks and monuments, monu-ments, among them Rocky Mountain, Moun-tain, Glacier and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. "All of the parks are unique," Halpern stated, "Bryce Canyon because be-cause of the constantly changing light I'll be doing a sketch of say, the Wall of Windows, look down and in that instant the light has completely changed." Halpern and his wife, Judy, left the park on June 27 but say they look forward to their return to Bryce Canyon. |
