Show New 4H Club Takes Shape TROPIC A new and exciting 4-H club was introduced to over fitteen 4-H club members this summer. It is a Social Recreational Skills project being taught by 4-H Leader Margaret Shakespear. Club members elected Jed Johnson, president; Kara Shakespear, Shake-spear, vice-president; David Shakespear, Shake-spear, secretary; and Shelly Shakespear, Shake-spear, reporter with other members mem-bers appointed to various positions. posi-tions. During this first-ever 4-H project, pro-ject, members will be exposed to a variety of activities to be used for reunions, camps, home evenings, both indoor and outdoor parties for clubs, businesses, personal and family use. Games will be taught for age groups from five years up to senior citizens. Also, each club member will be able to teach these skills to others. Each will also have a notebook of several sections to use for reference refer-ence for the different types of activities acti-vities to fit the groups being taught. The members have already shown a great amount of enthusiasm enthusi-asm for this club. "It is really fun" they say and are anxious for their next meeting. |
