Visitors at the LaVal Sawyers last week were Lucinda Josie, Magna and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Humphries and Emma Rae Humphries, all of Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Barney went to Colorado to visit the Kenneth Ken-neth Barneys. Visiting at the Barneys Bar-neys was Janett Young, Cedar City. Mr and Mrs. Kenny Hudson, Orem and Ben Maxwell, Littleton, Colo., visited with the Jay Edens. The Gordon Nelsons went to Salt Lake City to attend a wedding. Speaking in LDS Sacrament Meeting last week was Clint Barney, Bar-ney, Panguitch, who was accompanied accompa-nied by his grandmother, Mary Perkins. Visitors at the Karl Lowders during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Schmutz of St. George, the Phillip Crofts, Orderville and Mr. and Mrs. Darol Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Deuard Riggs, Salt Lake City, visited Estella Riggs during the weekend. Kent Sawyer was here for the weekend from his work in Mesquite, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Stimpson, Breana Freiner and Susan Freiner were here at their cabin. Mr. and Mrs. Max Burrows, Fredonia, Ariz., were here at the trailer at Old Town Hatch. Charlie Johnson is home after his short stay in Garfield Memorial Hospital. Hatch LDS Mutual Improve- ment Association girls won the "Overall Camp" award at girls' camp June 18-20. Their prize was a Coleman lantern. Sunday May Sawyer and the Kent Sawyers went to Antimony to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ken Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Barney celebrated cel-ebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on June 24. Tashina Barnhurst and Jennifer Barnhurst, Kanab visited Misty Burrows and Cassie Mack for a few days last week. They brought 12 friends and celebrated the summer solstice with tubing and a cookout Maggie Burrows and Misti Bur- . rows spent two days last week with the Dallas Barnhurst family in Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Barnhurst, Bishop LaMar Barney, Misti Burrows, Julie Barnhurst, Isaac Burrows, David Barnhurst, Brent Barnhurst, Mark Barney, Tyler Barney and Jeff Barney went to St. George to do LDS baptismal work. Shirley Wilhelm and Misti Burrows attended the wedding of Lanore Pandolf and Brett Johnson at Kanab. Some of the out-of-town guests attending the funeral of Bert Barnhurst Barn-hurst were David Bamhurst, Duane Bamhurst, So. Car.; Phil Burrows,. Fredonia; Desmond Deuel, Orem; Beth Weideman, Henderson, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Workman, Orem; the Merlin Barnhursts, Kanab; and Leslie Barnhurst, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Wood, Las Vegas, are here at their summer home. Ann Rives, Las Vegas, and Beth Weideman, Henderson, are here for a few days. Arthur Sawyer celebrated his 91st birthday on June 25. His family fam-ily held a cookout in his honor at the homestead. Jacob Southerland said goodbye to his family Sunday as he left on a trip to Gaithersburg, Fla., where he will be visiting cousins. While there they will go tour Washington D. C. taking in the historic sites. Clayton Evans is staying with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Evans, while he's employed at the sawmill in Panguitch. Omega Campbell is visiting Ef-fel Ef-fel Riggs for a few days before going go-ing to Washington, where she will stay with some of her grandchildren, grandchild-ren, during which time her daughter, daugh-ter, Rhonda Webb will be isolated with two of her children that will be receiving bone marrow transplants. trans-plants.
