Show Danger Signs During Pregnancy Ideally, you are seeing your health care provider on a regular basis and he or she is providing you with the answers to your many questions. But, just in case you are experiencing one of the following symptoms between visits, call your nurse-midwife or physician: M D heavy bleeding, especially when combined with abdominal or back pain (call immediately); a sudden increase in thirst, accompanied by no desire to empty your bladder (call immediately); sudden and severe swelling of hands, face or eyes, especially if accompanied by headache or blurred vision (call immediately); M pain or burning when you empty your bladder, especially if accompanied by fever, chills and backache (call immediately); absence of noticeable fetal movement for twenty four hours after the sixth month (call immediately); C3 vision disturbances (blurring, dimming) that last for two or three hours (call immediately); sudden weight gain of more than two pounds accompanied by swelling of hands and face, headache or vision problems (call immediately); Ml chills and fever over 100 degrees with no cold or flu symptoms (call same day), fever over 102 degrees (call immediately); severe pain in your abdomen, especially if you are also experiencing bleeding, nausea, or vomiting (call the same day); ft slight vaginal spotting (call the same day); M fainting or dizziness (call the same day); severe nausea and vomiting (call same day). v |
