Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Truie Allen has returned home after spending two weeks visiting with her sisters in Idaho and Wyoming. The LaMar Shakespears and Rose Hunt spent the weekend with Ora Brinkerhoff. Mr. and Mrs. David Pollock were in Salt Lake City attending a session at the LDS Temple with her sister Wyona. A baby shower was held for Donna Chynoweth. Hostesses were Gwen Brinkerhoff, Wendy Brinkerhoff, Ronnie Brinkerhoff, Rose Hunt and Louise Shakespear. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pollock are the grandparents of a new grandson, born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Veater. Word was received of the death of Jody Little, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Pollock. Her mother is the former Jolene Pollock. The Adrian Pollocks, Ora Brinkerhoff and Amplus LeFevre attended the service in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair received word of the birth of a great granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Miles in Midvale. The proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gail Miles. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Feltner took their daughter Tammy to Rexburg, Idaho to enroll in college. The Country Corner Market has new owners and a new name. It is the "Country Mart" now. The new owners are Mr. and Mrs. Bart Palmer. Margie Mecham spent a few days in Duchesne with son Bud. Daughter Margie Mecham traveled with her. The Bryce Valley Senior Citizens enjoyed two Thanksgiving dinners this past week, Thursday in Tropic and Friday in Henrieville. Both meals were delicious and enjoyed by approximately 95 people. Bart Palmer was in Salt Lake on business. Kristy Talbot and Kimberly Talbot were in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Malen Littlefield spent a week in St. George at the temple. Flora LeFevre, Irene Munson, Eva Dean Francisco, and Viva Mecham are all convalescing at their homes and would very much appreciate a visit from their friends. Robert Willis and Dewey Willis were speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday. Jeri Moon visited with her children in the Salt Lake area. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson spent a week with their daughter Connie in Provo. Alan Sudweeks was in Tropic overnight. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Shakespear made a trip to Richfield on business. Dale Pollock came to Tropic and took his parents to Salt Lake for their granddaughter's funeral services. |
