Show AREA OBITUARIES Maggie Ilarnhurst Maggie Bamhurst HATCH Maggie Sanders Bamhurst, 82, Hatch, died Nov. 19, 1984, in a Panguitch hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1901, Millville, Washington County, to William and Sarah Amelia Wilson Sanders. She was married to Orson H. Barnhurst, May 5, 1922, St. George LDS Temple; he died Sept. 4, 1974. She was active in the LDS Church auxiliaries serving as a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors: sons, daughter, Merlin S., West Jordan; Elbert W., Cedar City; Melvin O. Henderson, Nev.; Austin J., North Las Vegas; Mrs. Alvin (Shirley) Wilhelm, Hatch; 22 grandchildren; 49 greatgrandchildren; brothers, sisters, Mrs. Lorin D. (Amelia) Squire, Clarence, Moroni, all LaVerkin; Mrs. Allen (Lucile) Humphries, Mrs. Cecil (Elma) Dutton, Owen, all Hurricane. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Hatch Ward chapel with Bishop Dallas F. Barnhurst, officiating. Merlin S. Barnhurst offered the family prayer and Noreen Evans played prelude and postlude music. Garth Heaps gave the invocation. Speakers were Owen Sanders, Stella Riggs, Laura Thompson, Kenneth Barney, Evan Wilcox, Velma Huntington and remarks by Bishop Barnhurst. Music included vocal duet by Cloyd Campbell and Nelda Fagg; vocal solo, Elaine Riggs, selection by Delma Dutton and Owen Sanders and selection by the Hatch Ward Choir. Alvin Wilhelm offered the benediction. Interment was in the Hatch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Duane Barnhurst offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dennis Barnhurst, Dell Woodard, Merlin Barnhurst, Jr., Kelly Barnhurst, Kevin Barnhurst, Ronnie Barnhurst. Honorary pallbearers were David Barnhurst, Calvin Wilson, Wiley Huntington, June Sanders. |
