Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair 679-8648 Mary Ott is visiting with her daughter Kathy and getting acquainted with her new granddaughter born to Kathy and her husband, Gary Davis. The Lady Lions had a luncheon meeting at the home of president Mira Loy Ott, where club members made a baby quilt. Flora LeFevre is with her daughter Bonnie Willis in Can-nonville, and would very much appreciate visits from her Tropic friends. Cora Shakespear made a trip to Salt Lake City with Sandrea Francisco. The Charley Franciscos had daughter Robin home for the weekend. Charley has been released from the hospital, and is convalescing at home where wife Eva Dean is also Improving. Mr. and Mrs. John Linder, Sandy and Marlisl Pankensteiner, Zurich, Switzerland spent the weekend with the Arnold Adairs. This is Primary teacher week in Tropic Ward. Children are to honor their Primary teachers. Local Boy Scouts will visit homes during the week to gather deer hides, if any are available. Stake conference will be held in Escalante Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11 and 12. Betty Lou Wintch entertained a few friends at a houseware party. Margaret Mecham and Marian Shakespear spent a week in St. George attending LDS temple sessions. The Lowell Mechams have a new car. Viva Mecham is recovering from an injury received when she fell. Mr. and Mrs. Norma Littlefield received word that their grandson, Kerry Littlefield, was married in Salt Lake City Nov. 3. He is the son of Mazel and the late Deanna Littlefield. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mangum were in Zion Canyon on business. Kristy Talbot was in Cedar City. Members of the Tropic Ward Relief Society were hostesses for the stake meeting held in Escalante. Florence Shakespear and Keela Mangum were in Cedar City on business. The Arnold Adairs were in Cedar City for eye appointments. They visited son Larry Adair while there. ' Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair received a plaque from the Salt Lake Tribune, winning in the Home Garden section in the recent Home Beautification contest. They also received a certificate of merit for their yard and flowers in the Tribune-sponsored contest. Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Pratt, Fredonia, Ariz., were visitors at the Sherman Baughs. The Floyd Richards had daughter Nakole home for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Shakespear spent three days in Las Vegas visiting with the Birch Moores. Ruth Baugh has her mother Guerna Robinson visiting with her. |
