Show AREA OBITUARIES Viola Marshall TROPIC Frances Viola Shakespear Marshall, 81, Tropic, died Dec. 31, 1963, in a Payson hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1902, Tropic, to Richard and Frances Merrill Shakespear. She was married to William Francis Marshall, Aug. 28, 1922, Tropic; later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died March 15, 1957. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors: sons, daughters, Melvin J., George A., both Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Bert (Lucille) Snow, Provo; John F., Payson; David J., J. LeRoy, both Kanab; Mrs. Marvin (Julia Ann) Sanders, Casper, Wyo.; 34 grandchildren; 40 greatgrandchildren; brother, sisters, Mrs. Carlos (Thella) DeLong, Cedar City; Mrs. Louise Wernar, Spring City, Colo.; Harold, Juneau, Alaska. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Cannonville LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Rodney K. Syrett, officiating: Ddvid Marshall offered the family prayer and Judy Chynoweth played prelude and postlude music. R. Shakespear gave the invocation. Speakers were Donald Marshall who gave a life sketch; Malen A. Mecham; Mark Bybee and remarks by Bishop Syrett. Music included selections by the Tropic Ward Choir and organ medley by Judy Chynoweth. Clair Ramsey offered the benediction. Interment was in the Tropic Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Jeff Marshall offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dale Williamson, Bill Heaps, David Williamson, Richard DeLong, Donny Marshall, Phillip Heaps, Jimmy Marshall, Leland Marshall, David Marshall, Jr. and Jeff Marshall. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Sanders, Dar Heaps, Bob Williamson, Melvin Savage and DeLoy Dutton. |
