Show Barnson To Serve on Stock Board ESCALANTE Barry Barnson is among seven representatives elected by livestock operators in the Cedar City District of the Bureau of Land Management to the Grazing Advisory Board for 1984-85. Board members serve without compensation, and are elected for two year terms. They each represent livestock operators within a specific BLM Resource area in the District. The board's responsibilities include advising the BLM on matters concerning Grazing Allotment Management plans and use of Range Betterment Funds. They also control advisory board funds which are returned to the area, through the State, from grazing fees charged by the BLM. Advisory Board meetings are normally held three or four times a year and are open to the public. All meetings are annoucned in advance in the local media. Other board members for 1984-85 are: Vard Heaton, Alton; Dennis Iverson, Washington; Merrill MacDonald, Kanab; Jeff Marshall, Minersville; Cleo Wood, Cedar City and Ray Yardley, Beaver. |
