Show SUSC Winter Enrollment Up 7-Percent CEDAR CITY Winter quarter enrollment has reached an all-time high at Southern Utah State College, 2,396 Students. Enrollment is up 164 students or over 7 percent over last year's winter quarter figures according to statistics prepared by the SUSC Registrar's Office. SUSC has experienced a 21 percent enrollment increase in just two years with 2,543 students. There are 946 freshmen, 480 sophomores, 401 juniors and 569 seniors attending SUSC. Of the total 2,396 students, 2,109 are enrolled in bachelors programs, the other 287 in vocational-technical programs. There are 42 academic and vocational-technical majors listed on SUSC's statistical report. Majors with the greatest numbers of students are elementary education (313), business administration (280), physical education (125), accounting (104) and communications (82). Winter quarter enrollment figures indicate that 50.3 percent for 1,206 of the students aremen and that 49.7 percent or 1,190 students are women. A significant number of SUSC students, 33 percent or 795 students, are over 25 years of age while 407 or 17 percent are over 30. |
