Show Agriculture Seminars Are Scheduled Two Agricultural Management Seminars are scheduled for Garfield County on Wednesday, February 16, one in Escalante and one in Panguitch. Utah State University Extension Service in cooperation with Garfield County Community Schools will sponsor a two hour seminar at Escalante High School at 10 a.m. and at the Garfield County Courthouse in Panguitch in the courtroom at 2 p.m. Verl B. Mathews, Garfield County Extension Agent announced the class featuring five specific subjects of particular interest to local farmers and ranchers. Dr. Don Snyder, extension marketing specialist, USU and Grant Esplin, extension livestock specialist will present the following program: farm co-ops organizing to purchase feed, fertilizer or market agricultural products; alfalfa hay Utah's marketing system and livestock economic outlook what's ahead; electronic livestock marketing a tool for Utah's cattle industry? feeding cattle growing or boarding? and hormone implants are they profitable? Matthews expresesd appreciation to community school facilitators Carol Simons of Escalante, Kathy Shakespear of Tropic and Lucile Proctor of Panguitch for their help in organizing the seminars.
