Show Public Asked for Comments On State Government The Committee on Executive Reorganization, a 20-member citizen's committee charged with studying state government, met July 7 for a full day of meetings to ratify preliminary recom mendations that will be made to the upcoming 1983 General Session of the Legislature. Beginning July 15, the Committee will conduct public hearings through out the state for purposes of obtaining comments on their recommendations. Study topics Involve the following basic areas: . Duties of the Lieutenant Governor's Office; State Tax Commission; Public Service Commission; Department of Natural Resources, and the Department of Social Services. For those interested in attending the public hearings in this area, one will be held Thursday, Aug. 26, In Richfield at 1 p.m. in the Sevier County Courthouse County Commissioners Meeting Room. The committee will review all comments before issuing their final recommendations in September. Legislation will be preapred for the January session of the Legislature. |
