Show Forest Fire Danger Listed 'High' Low rainfall and continued hot drying weather have resulted in high fire conditions in the Dixie National Forest, according to Rollo H. Brunson, district ranger. With the 24th of July weekend coming up all forest visitors are urged to use extreme caution and good judgement with anything which could start a fire. The discharge or use of all fireworks including sparklers, is prohbiited on National Forest land. Three man-caused wildfires have occurred so far this season on the Cedar City District, mostly from careless woodcutters. Forest users are urged to be careful and report any fire to the nearest Forest Service facility as soon as possible. |
