Show Richfield Man Joins Local Mortuary Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary in Richfield, announces the addition of Gary R. Lewis to its staff as a licenced funeral director embalmer. Lewis will assist and direct services in the Sevier, Piute, Garfield, and Wayne county areas. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy R. Lewis, Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School, in 1972 and from Sevier Valley Tech in 1973, in business machine repair. He fulfilled a mission to the California Sacramento mission from 1973-1975. After his mission, he lived in the ' Salt. Lake City area and worked for All Makes ; Typewriter Co. He at tended Snow College and Gary R. Lewis graduated in 1978. He was nominated to "Who's Who in American Jr. Colleges, 1978" for outstanding achievement, while at Snow. He graduated from the California College of Mortuary Science in Los Angeles, located at Cypress College, Cypress, Calif. in January 1982, where he received the outstanding student award in restorative arts. He served his apprenticeship with Neal S. Magleby and Sons, Richfield, and his California apprenticeship with McMillan Mortuary, Gardena, Calif. He was employed by IFS, Inc. at the McMillan Mortuary and was night supervisor over .four mortuaries in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. He served as associate organist for Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Calif, and also as organist for the Gardena First Ward and the stake organist in the Torrance North Stake. He has served in several LDS positions and is currently ward organist in the Richfield Fourth Ward. |
