Nettie also made a secondary trip to Los Angeles, where another daughter, Mrs. June Van Hemert, entertained her and Donna Rae for Thanksgiving dinner and escorted them to many places of interest in the area. While in Los Angeles Nettie also visited her brother-in-law and his wife, Ray and Delia Dowdell, in La Mirada, California. Returning to Las Vegas, Nettie enjoyed the Christmas holidays with her family, with Donna Rae providing the Christmas dinner. When Nettie returned home to Panguitch, Dec. 28th, she found,, not I surprisingly, some frozen pipes, which were later repaired by son-in-law Wallace Tebbs.
