Show National Parks Will Host Educational Programs in Summer ZION NATIONAL PARK Four national parks in the Rocky Mountain Region will host educational programs this summer in cooperation with local park associations and universities. Focusing on biological, natural and physical phenomena, as well as man's interaction with nature and the arts, the summer classes will be conducted at Zion National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks in Wyoming. Classes will be presented in both seminar and field situations by instructors with professional experience in the subject areas. Park cooperating associations, non-profit environmental, educational organizations affiliated with major National Park Service areas, work closely with the four parks in conducting the summer educational programs. At Zion National Park, it has been a three-way effort. Th,e school of continuing education for Southern Utah State College has also played a major role in the summer program. Tuition is based upon the extent of the courses and materials required. For some of the classes, tuition discounts are available for early registration. Academic credit is generally available through' local colleges. |
