Show Panguitch Patter Mr. and Mrs. George Proctor have returned home after an 11-day cruise on the luxury liner Stella Solaris of Sun Lines. They visited six different islands including the Mayla ruins and the Panama Canal. At the canal site they were lucky to observe a huge 800 ft. Japanese cargo ship passing through the gate locks. Even though George vacationed with his broken arm in cast, he said it was truly a great experience. - Prior to departing Salt Lake City, the Proctors held a family reunion with 29 family members in attendance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Barlow. All but three family members were present and a photographer was on hand to capture the festivities on Him. Both Proctors expressed their enjoyment of the trip but also voiced how nice it was to be back home again. Alva Johnson has returned home after an extended trip of about four months. While away she was able to visit with Jean Lamont of Salt Lake City; John L. Johnson and family of Granger; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hales of Layton and Barbara Reed of Fredrick, Colo. Edra Miller, Lyle Miller and Ingra Richards spent this past Saturday in the St. George area. Bud Machaud was in the VA hospital this week. Several folks mentioned this week how good it was to once again see Bell Cooper out around town riding with daughter, Grace. Excited and energetic gals met this week to elect officers and plan target projects for the local Quester organization. Half off Panguitch must have called in this week to express congratulations to locals Connie and Russell on their recent engagement; the other half of Panguitch caught me during lunch, while grocery shopping and even hailed my car down on main street tc make certain the glad news was properly reported. Congrats you two! When you meet those local volunteers who devoted an entire day in testing at the Lions Club sponsored Free Mobile Screening Clinic why not say "howdy" and an extra little "thank you." Have surely enjoyed the chatter In our weekly Panguitch Patter and before you know it my last name of Bales will sneak right in there with the Barneys, Barnhursts and Burninghams! ! |
