Show Panguitch Patter 676-2706 Everyone who attended the Youth Conference in Beaver spoke highly of the event. The Young Ambassadors presented a high quality, well planned evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hyatt and Mr and Mrs. Weldo Allen, all from Richfield were dinner guests of Rulon and Fay Ella Prince. Earl Marshall just returned from Salt Lake City. He was there to be with his son, Tom, who had an attack of congential heart failure along with diabetes. He is home now but must return often for checkups. Last Monday the Panguitch Senior Citizens celebrated the birthdays of Verd Worthen and his daughter, Faye Ann Christensen from Kanab. Faye Worthen read a tribute to her husband and daughter. The Orlis Riggs from Hatch were there to help honor them . Judy Henrie and her children visited in St. George and "Saturday's Warrior" in Las Vegas Mr and Mrs Van Sandin came from Henderson with Brandon White to attend the wedding of Louise and Dan Fink They stayed with Edra Miller. Marilyn Marshall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Marshall was asked by Eugene Jelesnik to appear on his talent show. She performed March 19. The results of the show will be announced March 26 on channel 5 at 3 p.m. Garfield County schools will be out for spring vacation. This will also effect the Development Center Therefore there will be no lunches for the senior citizens until Monday. Sitting in my new office surely makes the work involved in reporting the news a lot more enjoyable. The big picture window seems to remind me to wake up nd get busy. There is a wonderful world waiting out there for me. Everyone should have a large front window in their life. Surely seems good to have a plumber back in town. Gary Hailstone is not only a great plumber he and his family are also wonderful people Gary and his wife, Sandy have three boys, Bryan, Chet and Kelly Ron and Lora Hulkley, Salt Lake City had a baby girl March 17. Grandparents Otho and Shirley Bulkley visited them This makes their 10th grandchild. Attend the Circus that will be in town April 5 at the fairgrounds. Buy tickets in advance as the Lions Club get a bigger percent of the sale to go towards the swimming pool. It surely is easy to miss saying 'hi' to the newcomers in town. If I miss putting your name in the paper, we still welcome you to town. Some of the new families that have moved to town recently and not mentioned are the Jerry Royer's and the Sheldon Jacksons, and I am sure others I am not aware of. Welcome to Pangv h. Carla and Gary Owens were home from SUSC over the weekend Vee Bruhn has been home but is back in the hospital Trace McAllister is home after spending time in the hospital after surgery. Hal Edwards and Steve Cowley from the Richfield Reaper spent Friday in town. They came in their trusty little bird. We then flew to Escalante to visit with Deon Alvey, area representative. Panguitch Elementary students are surely lucky to have Carol Hatch teach in their school. She comes up with some of the most fun ways to learn. Monday, she held the Kick-off' to what could be the most exciting outdoor learning room the kids have seen in a long time Tuesday, the sixth graders and any parent wanting to, went to Bryce Canyon and tried their luck at snowshoeing |
