Karl Lowder had the misfortune of getting his big toe crushed while on th job during the week. He was taken to the Garfield Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans entertained their grandson Michael A. Evans for his 10th birthday with a party. His friends from here and Mark Heaton, Panguitch helped him celebrate. Robert Fonnesbeck, Panguitch visited the Doyle Hancocks. Word was received by the Wiley Huntingtons that they have another grandson, he arrived March 6 in the Kanab hospital. His parents are Jim and Betty Kaboni Lilith Wilson was happy to report that she has a new granddaughter Her parents are Helen and Mel Wilkes, Boise, Idaho and her big brother leaves soon for an LDS mission. Kenneth and Elaine Barney, Las Vegas visited the Lamar Bar-nyes then accompanied them to Springville to visit the Sherman Camerons and they all attended games at the Round Robin in Provo. Others going to the Round Robin were Kent Sawyer. He went with Kurt Sawyer and Phyllis Back, Cedar City; the Ivor Riggs family. Shawna Woodard. Val Dean Deuel and Bret Frehner Shelly and Mlsti Burrows, Las Vegas came with Al Wilhelm to visit the Wilhelms for awhile Maggie Bar nhurst accompanied them from St. George where she has been visiting Laura Pendleton and Joseph Barnhurst Mr and Mrs. Ed Turek visited a few days in Washington with the Wynn Tureks. Ed worked in the temple at St. George while there. Their son Brent, Kanab visited them. Mr. and Mrs. Orlas Riggs visited the Jerry Higgs in St. George and did work in the temple Elaine and Bethany Riggs, Cedar City are here visiting with the I -eland Riggs family. Mrs. Ardell Riggs took sick and was taken to the Garfield Memorial Hospital. Then they rushed her on to a bop sital in Salt Lake City from last reports she was improving a little Speakers in sacrament meeting were Pete Sawyer, Allen Riggs and stake visitor Dan Tebbs Those advanced in the priesthood were Vern Young to the office of a priest and Joel Dutton to the office of a teacher Hope Dal ton visited in Kanab with the Gib Claries Mr and Mrs Karl Lowder visited in Kanab with Velta Sawyer and girls May Sawyer visited in Cedar City. |
