Bill Peck was in Phoenix on business Vicky Coleman and son Tony were in Richfield for dental care. Steve and Kathy Gesseg had business there as did Otto and Idona Haws. Obe and Dora Wright were in Panguitch to see Obe's doctor. Max Behunin also had business there. Lorraine Behunin's grandfather Ezra L. Curtis age 83 died on February 26. He was buried in Salem. Lorraine and Sharlene went to the funeral service. Her mother Clea Baker is recovering from injuries suffered in a car ac cident. While in Salem twin baby girls were born to Lorraine's brother larry and wife Brenda Baker. Dell LeFevre attended a work shop on the proposed wilderness area in which the five counties are involved. This was on March 7 in Cedar City Truman and Leona Lyman went to Nephi where their son Kent gave his son a blessing and the name of Michael Kent Lyman. Mr. and Mrs. Max Jones of Provo spent the weekend with their daughter Judie Davis and family. Max Behunin and daughter Twila Mc Donald were in Cedar City. Neal and Fay Jepsen and son Wyatt were there on business. Burns and Blom Or mond were in Salt Lake City and went on to Rock Springs. Wyoming to see son Marty and daughter Peggy Spencer and family. Larry Davis of Boulder and Gordon Topham of Escalante were selected with other park rangers by the National Parks Service to participate in a two weeks Interpretive Training Course at South Grand Canvon. Arizona Anthony Coombs was in Gunnison on business. Neal and Fay Jepsen took Carter and Kay Ormond to Panguitch where Carter was admitted to the Garfield Memorial Hospital. He had suffered a stroke and died March 7 at the age of 69. Carter is survived by his wife Kay, three children Keith, Clyde, and Linda Guyman. They have seven grand children. Brothers Raymond, Burns, and Bud Ormond. Sister Grace Barney. The funeral was on Saturday. Many friends came from Wayne County, An timony, Escalante, and Boulder Uvada Moosman and ldona Haws went to Panguitch to see Jim and Kuby Myers who had just returned from Phoenix, Arizona where they spent the winter. Lorin and Uvada Moosman went to Tropic after a load of grain. Weather wise the past two weeks rain and snow of about two days settled the snow and took most of it from the valley. On March 12 a blanket of six inches of heavy snow covered the ground |
