Show tffff Mrs. Hazel Hatch, teacher at Panguitch Elementary School assists one of her students during class. Mrs. Hatch, along with other teachers were honored by students in special program last week in which students wrote things about their teachers they like. 'Be Kind to Your Teacher' Day at Panguitch School The Panguitch-Hatch Parent Teacher Association honored Panguitch Elementary teachers on a special "Be Kind to Your Teacher Day." Previous to the special day the students each wrote a list of reasons they felt their teachers are especially nice. The reasons listed varied from, "Because he smells so good." to "Because he is a strict teacher, he cares for us and shows it by making us get our work completed and accurate." One of the teachers even received a love note and a poem of appreciation. The teachers, lunch ladies, secretary and custodian were all presented with a carnation boutinere or coursage. The teachers were read and given the words of kindness expressed by their students. Those receiving this special recognition were, Principal Bruce Owens, Leland Riggs, Caryl Hatch, Tom Simkins, Lonny Pollock, Dorothy Houston, Hazel Hatch, Jean Gottfredson, Mrs. James Pollitt, Delin Roundy, LeAnn Moser, Thora Leach, Darlene Sawyer, and least but certainly not last in the eyes of the students is cutodian, Ike LeFevre. |
