Before my memory slips cogs again must announce the annual March party to be held Saturday March 19 at the church. Former residents are extended an invitation. Dinner at noon followed by a progam. Barry and Linda Bamson have their baby son in the Richfield Hospital with congestion. Holly Adams spent some time at the Garfield Memorial Hospital, the Doctor sent her home to do chores and get some exercise. Rex Allen took Eva North to the doctor. Ora Schow and Millie Mclnelly also went north to be checked by their doctors. Melvin Alvey went to Cedar City to pick up son Wayne and Ludnda and Neuman Duncan to go to Logan for the christening of his grandson born to Helen and Rick Pruitt. Florence was all ready there so they brought her home. Ivan, Nelda and Blaine Willis went to Richfield to visit family members and found Howard and Lanea Munson of Cedar City visiting the same relatives. Blaine brought his truck home. Walt and Virginia Dane went to Las Vegas for the wedding of their son Lee. He was here a while back and brought along his Intended. The Stan Haycocks had daughter Janis home for the weekend. Friday of last week the 4th, 5th and 6th grades from Bryce Valley came to tour the Edson Alvey museum. They were accompanied by teachers, Henry Jolley, Dave Rose, and Sherrill Ott. Marlene Haws and Deon Alvey had business in Cedar City. Marlene and Klyn had son Robert and family here from Nephi. Ardis Christenscn and son Keith went to Salt Lake City. Raylene Alvey and Jill Haws spent the weekend In Panguitch with Denise, they all went to Cedar City to the dentist and to Beaver for ball games. A big percent of the population took in those ball games. Those we heard of having business in Richfield were Daniel and Orilla Cowles, Margean Coleman, Carolyn, Vergean and Kevin Porter. Bill and Virginia Saniferd are here from Scotland visiting at the Dewayne Buttons. We do not know what to do about Ludle Cowles; she left Relief Society last week and forgot all about small son Ronald. Golda Cottam reminded her that she had left him so she went back and he was gone. After several trips home and back she found him safe and sound with Leah Griffin making tours of the church house. The carpenter work Is finished on the church house so Emer Hamblin moved to Cedar City complete with grandklds. The Tom Sanborns and the Berlin Osborns spent several days at St. George for temple work. Hank Bolton drove the minibus to St. George with a load of women, his wife among them. After two sessions during which LaRue got the wrong shoes and was left behind, we made it through and started for home. Naomi Bolton got a big mac attack which had to be remedied, then she suggested we come home by way of Colorado City which we did. We even went through some snow on the divide. The Mail Spencers had granddaughter Michelle here from College In Dixie, she brought her friend Glen. Dawn Griffin visited kids in Price. Alfred and Ruth Chiono were in town but not to stay; they came to check on their money and get Ruth a hairdo, those out of state hairdos are not her style. Cook Liston had Lee and Barbara here from St. George for the weekend, they are doing fine. The elders put on a ward supper which was delicious and ample. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Zufelt had their son christened with the proud father giving him the name of Brian Ray. Mr. and Mrs. Syril Zufelt, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Malmgren of Richfield were here. They are the grandparents. Nellie Bailey is home after spending some time in Monroe caring for her sister, Maud Reynolds. The county committee on aging went to Cedar City for a meeting. Hank Bolton drove the bus with four aboard, picked up three in Tropic and five in Panguitch, it was very informative. Minnie Davis and Bonnie Smith got an SOS from Leda Mae Foster saying she must have some clam chowder, of course they responded to the call and spent a delightful day. "Know How" is important in everything you do, but at times things run more smoothly to rely on "Know Who". |
