Show jf CITIZENS CORNER W FAIRYLAND w I awoke this morning to a beautiful white world. W A new fallen snow enveloped everything. f I saw the beauty of King Winter, then; And fancied it was some eternal dream. I thought of fairies with their magic wands For only then and God could make complete The beauty that I saw before my eyes; Ice Icicles, frozen streamlets, snow piled deep. The trees that stood so tall for Robin's nests Looked tall and glistened though their limbs hung low. Reminding me of Queens bedecked with jewels Gently throwing diamonds in the snow. I looked beyond the trees and soon recalled The stories I had heard of pearly gates, For in a lilac bush quite draped In snow I saw Saint Peter standing there but wait) I I looked still further, knowing well f St. Peter wouldn't be there all alone, ,7 And then I caught a glimpse of what I thought .fj Was angels playing harps around a throne. jM This was indeed a Fairyland, I knew JujEI Peace was there, and beauty reigned supreme. The sun arose and took her place on high. 1rih& Oh crescent dawn, why did you spoil my dream? JsKr Jp by Dudley L. Proctor ni |
